Longer blades of grass will shade the ground below to keep it cool, which means it will not dry out as quickly as when mowing the lawn. In other words, the lawn does not have to receive as much makeup water as possible. 

3. Weed Control 

Reduce weed growth. There are more than 100 weed seeds on each lawn, just waiting for the right conditions to germinate. If the sun cannot reach the seed, it is unlikely to germinate. 

4. The lawn grows better 

When the lawn is trimmed high, there are plenty of leaf surfaces to keep the plants healthy. This allows the grass to accumulate food reserves and grow better roots, which means the lawn will be greener and healthier.
